GRACELAND ART-RAGEOUS

The art workshop uses the creativity of students to allow for a thoughtful response to the biblical story.  Story details are reinforced through creative art projects.  When students learned about the story of Joseph and his coat of many colors, children had the opportunity to tye- dye Joseph's coat themselves.  They were able to make a door hanging with their coat to remind them of God's love for Joseph.

Currently in our art workshop the children are creating  a mosaic wine chalice to better understand the meaning of Jesus' words spoken at the Last Supper.  This was a great lead in to communion and how we celebrate it here at Grace.

Over the next year, we will continue to try to come up with new and exciting ways to reinforce our teachings with fun and creative art projects.  If anyone has any ideas for projects, please contact Sue Zirnhelt at zirny5@yahoo.com or Lorra Walton at lwalton@wctc.net.
